Reconciliation week

27th of May to the 3rd of June marked Reconciliation week in Australia. Reconciliation week commemorates two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey— the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision, respectively. We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation, and in playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures. At Hume Central Dimboola Rd campus, our Student Voice and Indigenous students made biscuits to hand out to the rest of the students and also painted an Aboriginal Flag and posted messages of peace, reconciliation and hope on the flag.
