Annual Swimming Carnival
On Friday March 10th we hosted our Annual House Swimming Carnival at the Oak Sports and Aquatic Centre.
The Hume Central Secondary College House System provides all members of our community the opportunity to feel a greater sense of connectedness and belonging at school. Through our various House System activities, students have the opportunity to compete, engage and grow.
The Hume Central House names come from the Woi Wurrung language, and represent ideals that are key to success at school:
Balit: ‘to be strong’
Dhumbali: ‘ to be committed’
Noogal: ‘to belong’
Tamboonaman: ‘to support’
During this day students participated in waterpolo, novelty events, relays, swimming races and free swim.
We congratulate all those who attended, cheered and the participated with a round of applause going to Dhumbali House who were the overall highest scoring house on the day.
