The Year 10 band Reverie clinched the victory with an outstanding rendition of The Ronettes’ song ‘Be My Baby’. In addition, Volkan Ercika from Year 11 received the excellence award for his exceptional keyboard skills while playing the Jimi Hendrix song ‘Voodoo Child’. The event was a vibrant celebration of music and talent, bringing together young musicians from across the area. Each band delivered electrifying performances, showcasing not only their musical prowess but also their passion for the classic hits of a transformative decade.
Apart from the excitement of the competition, the night was also a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and their teachers.
The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as friends, family, and fellow students cheered on their favorite bands. The camaraderie among the participants was palpable, with many students expressing admiration for each other’s talents and forming new friendships.
