Christian Vine Mural Project – Dimboola Road Campus

Continuing our mural weekly journal, Christian Vine, our talented mural artist, has completed the landscape outline for the “Present” section of our Welcome to Country Statement.

Our Year 8A and 8B students were thrilled to contribute by painting on the exterior wall of their Year 8 building using paint rollers. During the session, students eagerly asked Christian questions. When asked if he had ever worked at a school, he smiled and replied, “Never at this grand scale, and with such an important community concept. It’s a wonderful opportunity as an artist to give younger students a chance to shine. This is going to be awesome.”

It was also a fantastic opportunity for our art students to practice drawing outdoors while learning two-point perspective using viewfinders. They explored texture by incorporating the surfaces around them into their artwork, connecting classroom learning with real-world application.
