Enhance Leadership Project
During the last term, four of our leaders participated in a five-week leadership program offered by Operation Newstart. Shamoni Toma, Bhagavada Bhattarai, Ella Sloboda, and Yahya Fahimi completed the Enhance Leadership Program.
Enhance is a program for students who have been recognised within their school as having positive leadership qualities, who could use alternative experiences out of school to promote further personal growth. The students were able to develop leadership and communication skills through a combination of outdoor adventure activities, life skills and community projects. They were also to develop greater interpersonal skills, self confidence and an opportunity to take leadership skills back into their school life. By developing these skills, the students were able to bring them back to school and are organising a community project to take Year 7 students to Youth Central in Broadmeadows.
