Health & PE Day
On Wednesday 2 September, Hume Central Secondary College held its first ever Health & Physical Education Day at Blair street campus, bringing students together for a fantastic day focused on participation, engagement, teamwork and fun!
Throughout the day, students worked alongside their peers in their House Colours, taking part in a variety of physical activities, challenges and team-based events. It was fantastic to see students encouraging one another, getting involved and showing plenty of House spirit along the way.
Health & PE Day is about much more than competition. It provides students with the opportunity to be active, build confidence, strengthen friendships, develop teamwork and experience the positive impact physical activity can have on our health and wellbeing.
A major highlight of the day was seeing students of different abilities working together, supporting their teammates and having a go. Whether students were competing for House raffle tickets, trying an activity for the first time or cheering on their friends, everyone had an opportunity to contribute.
A huge thank you to our students for bringing such fantastic energy and enthusiasm, and to our Health & PE staff and supporting staff who helped organise and run the activities throughout the day.
Days like this are a great reminder that Health & PE is about connection, participation, resilience, teamwork and creating positive experiences through movement.
Well done to everyone involved in making Hume Central Secondary College’s Health & PE Day 2026 such an enjoyable and successful day!
