Market Day
On Tuesday 23rd of May our Year 12 VCE-VM and VPC students set up and ran a market selling the products they had created throughout term 2. We had visitors from both Junior Campuses, Broadmeadow Valley Primary School and Hume Valley Senior School as well as all our Town Park staff and students to the market to purchase items on the day. The market day was an integrated project that assessed students on a variety of skills in Literacy, Personal Development Skills, Work Related Skills, and Maths!
We had lots of food, including a sausage sizzle, wedges, milkshakes, and a variety of sweets sold on the day. Some of the other products that were made and sold included cheese boards, key chains, lanyards, tie-dye t-shirts, beanies, slime, candles, jewellery, wheat bags, badges plus many more.
Thank you to the VCE-VM and VPC staff and students for working hard to make this day come together, it is such a huge undertaking and requires a lot of time and effort for it all to come together. We would also like to thank staff who donated products and items for the lucky dip, your generosity is much appreciated. Thank you to the Food Tech and Music team for allowing us to use the kitchen and the music equipment on the day. Thank you to the Maintenance team for supporting the set up and pack down of the market as well. Thank you to our Principal team for supporting and investing in the Market event, it is always a lasting memory in our students’ minds once they leave school.
We were able to raise a huge $2,230 for our Homelessness and Cancer charities this year and we couldn’t have done it without our wonderful community supporting the market by purchasing items on the day. Thank you so much and see you at the VCE-VM and VPC Market Day next year!
