Wear it Purple Day
On Friday 25th August, the College celebrated Wear It Purple Day, a day that strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for rainbow young people.
Staff were encouraged to wear purple on 25 August to demonstrate support for LGBTQIA+ young people.

Different activities happened at each campus on the day, that were enjoyed by the students.
The activities across the College included:
- Badge making
- Nail panting
- Supportive message board
- Cookies, lolly bags and fairy bread stalls with students donating to a charity that supports LGBTIQA+ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
Hume Central is committed to ensuring our school is a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff. Wear It Purple Day is one of the many days we organise to foster this sense of belonging and connection to the school community.
