Wear it Purple Day

On Friday 29 August, the College celebrated Wear it Purple Day, a day that strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for rainbow young people.

Staff were encouraged to wear purple to demonstrate support for LGBTQIA+ young people and the community.

At each campus there were an array of sweets with money raised donated to Many Coloured Sky; an agency that supports LGBTIQA+ organisations with capacity building, planning and project development.

Hume Central is committed to ensuring our school is a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff. Wear It Purple Day is one of the many days we organise to foster this sense of belonging and connection to the school community.
