On Wednesday the 13th July students in the VCE Unit 4 Outdoor and Environmental Studies travelled to Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort, during this time students partook in Environmental Testing and an Environmental Talk by the Mt Baw Baw Environmental officer before settling into the their accommodation for the trip.
On the Thursday students had to get ready for their ski lessons, getting geared up for the day ahead. They completed a two hour lesson with professional instructors from the Mt Baw Baw Snow Sports School, seeing the students have a great and new experience in an environment that some students have never experienced before. After a full day of skiing and snow play students settled back into the warm confines of the accommodation to cook a warming meal.
On the last day, Friday, on a great day for weather students once again did some Environmental Testing, assessing the health of the Mt Baw Baw environment and completed the camp with an information session with the local dingo’s followed by a cuddle, “what an experience” some of the students said. All students had a great time learning a lot about the environment and having great experiences.
