Year 7/8 Mixed Netball Competition
On Wednesday 4th June, Mr Campbell and Ms Tracey took out a group of combined Year 7s and 8s mixed team for Interschool Netball.
We played three matches across the day. Winning strongly against Roxburgh Park, losing by one goal to Greenvale and losing to overall winners Gladstone Park.
The students were excellent in their application of netball skills and rule understanding. We were the only team with a mixed group and our two girls Jahzalle and Lily-Rose demonstrated outstanding capabilities against an all boys opposition, and were dominant players for us. Special performances came from Micheal and Caesar, in each game they controlled the possession and were instrumental in our scoring and defending opposition scoring efforts.
We look forward to this group continuing to develop their skills in the coming years with netball and to be involved in future competitions of mixed netball.
