Year 8 NMR Badminton

On Thursday 27th August, our Year 8 girls competed in the NMR Badminton Competition.

After a nervous start, all our singles matches were narrowly lost by just a few points. Once the girls shook off their nerves and settled into the competition, they bounced back brilliantly, winning both singles matches in the next game, as well as one doubles match. This was a fantastic effort against some very strong competition.

Our final match was another great display of determination, with the girls finishing with an impressive 3–3 draw. Throughout the day, they demonstrated resilience, teamwork and excellent sportsmanship.

The girls should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school to the highest standard. They agreed that the competition was a fantastic learning experience and have vowed to continue their training, returning next year stronger than ever and ready to compete for the win!
