Year 8 Workshop Incursion

On Friday 17 October Dimboola Road Year 8 female students participated in a workshop by the Big Sister Experience and our Year 8 male students engaged in a workshop by the Man Cave. Both workshops explored identity, self-worth, help-seeking and supporting each other, along with encouraging students to engage in conversations around stereotypes and societal expectations of being ‘female’ or ‘male’.

Through engaging facilitators and interactive activities students were able to open up and share their strengths, challenges and some of their experiences.

We would like to thank the Big Sister Experience and Man Cave for the workshop as it aligns with the College’s aim to support student confidence & identity, connection to the school, help seeking behaviours and respectful behaviours.
