Year 9 Cultural Art Project – Dimboola Road Campus

Our Year 9 Art Making and Exhibiting students have commenced an exciting cultural art project in partnership with the Indigenous Learning Centre at Kangan TAFE.

Working alongside Wurundjeri and Dja Dja Wurrung artists Samantha and Hayden Richards, and Kangan TAFE lecturer Anne Smith, students are exploring Koori storytelling, Indigenous symbols and cultural identity as they design and create a cultural park bench.

Once completed, the bench will be installed beside our Welcome to Country mural at the Dimboola Road Campus, creating a lasting celebration of culture, storytelling and the diversity of our Hume community.

We look forward to sharing the completed artwork with our school community!
