On the 21st October, Year 10 Spanish students went on an excursion to the Multicultural Hub where they put their language skills to practice in an authentic language experience. The excursion focused on the effects that waste from the fashion industry has on the environment, comparing the situations in Australia and Chile as well as ways in which we can minimise our contribution to this problem. Students worked with native Spanish-speaking seamstresses to repurpose second-hand denim jackets with designs of their favourite Hispanic icons.
