Harmony Week celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

Hume Central Secondary College proudly celebrates cultural diversity and promotes inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. This year, Harmony Week is in Week 8 from 21 to 27 March 2022.

To celebrate Harmony Week and promote values of respect, inclusivity and diversity, the following activities occurred across our College each day.

  • Harmony Circle around the oval where students tied orange ribbons around their wrists to symbolise the colour of Harmony week and displayed posters that illustrated the diversity of the College
  • Musical performances, cultural dances, Pasifika group performances
  • Somali dance workshops, African dance workshops
  • Sports competitions, students versus staff
  • Kindness cards shared between students and staff

To conclude a wonderful week of celebrations a BBQ celebration will occur at lunchtime tomorrow across each Campus.
